River Lynns new stepfather Ryan Driller finds his daughter in the living room seemingly meditating, but in an awkward, painful-looking position: eyes-closed, with her arms reaching backward toward the ceiling. He asks her whats going on and she tells him her father used to have her sit that way for hours, as a punishment. Why? “I was a bad girl”, she calmly states.
